Decoupling the supply chain

Decoupling the supply chain from manufacturing is a vital step to providing best-fit manufacturing according to EMS partner, the Paragon Electronics Group. With assembly sites in Europe, Asia and North Africa, Paragons EMS model is based on a multiple facility solution spanning the entire manufacturing process from supply chain management through to assembly, test and order fulfilment. In-house engineering and technical teams manage each project, enabling the Paragon network to fulfil an array of manufacturing and logistical services from complex, fast-turnaround NPI through to sophisticated Kanban-driven JIT delivery systems.

Paragons group managing director, John Mayes, explained: With complete control over component supply plus the ability to mobilise multiple sites and ship them assembly-ready kits, we overcome OEM issues where they outgrow their EMS partner.

In-house teams manage the transition to ensure that nothing is lost in the transfer to whichever assembly facility is most appropriate to support their changing manufacturing requirements. By providing a single point of contact for customers, while still providing best-fit manufacturing solutions and the flexibility of a decoupled supply chain, we aim to fulfil customer requirements without compromise.
