Over the past 15-years, Teddington Electronics has specialised in designing and developing medical equipment circuitry, including foetal monitoring alarms, gas analysers and fertility data capture equipment. Managing director, Graham Tonkin, said: We offer a totally flexible service to our customers. We can design, prototype, test and manufacture. For most of our customers we offer a full procurement package. But for others we simply build from their free issue components. The choice is theirs.
The company states that at a time when many UK manufacturers are looking to the Far East for cost savings, they are finding, to their cost, that this source can be problematic with late deliveries, poor quality and high board failure rates all leading to failings and delivery problems.
To resolve these issues, Teddington sources its components world-wide, operates an open-book costing policy, complies with ISO9000, works to IPC standards (IPC-A-610D), is RoHS compliant and is working towards TS16949.
