Having started as a small operation on Poole Quay in 1984 to develop the then fledgling surface-mount technology, the company has maintained its focus on managing design for manufacture, test strategy, new product introduction, project management and manufacturing services for OEM companies based in the UK or overseas. 2009 will be an exciting year for Hansatech EMS as it ramps up investment in lean manufacturing to gain efficiencies, lower costs and improve processes across its operations. It has an experienced management team including Paul Gill, Stephen Blythe, Commercial Director, Chris Smith, Finance Director and Rex Weygood, Technical Manager. Paul Gill commented, Rex has been with the company since it was first established and is widely respected in the industry. His experience in developing manufacturing solutions is an invaluable resource for the business.
The 80-strong team of staff at the Poole site, England, are committed to raising the bar on expectations of customer service. In recognition of their significant contributions, Rex Weygood and four other staff members were recently presented with Long Service Award certificates.
