Chicago, Ill. — Got a design problem? Device not working the way it should?Electronics distributor Newark, part of the global Premier Farnell Group, now offers two ways to get help. The catalog distributor recently extended its service hours for online technical support to 24 hours a day, Monday through Friday, and launched a new technical portal and community where design engineers can collaborate with peers and experts.

Engineers can access online help via the Live Support Online button at the distributor’s homepage at www.newark.com. Newark’s global technical support team engineers have an average of nine years of experience, and undergo continual training on the newest and proven technologies, said the distributor. The team offers multi-tier support: level one for general inquiries, such as providing cross-references and level two for more complex and specialty questions.

In addition, Premier Farnell recently launched a technical portal and community at www.element-14.com that provides electronic design engineers with one place to collaborate with peers and experts. A few recent discussion threads covered filtering, isolation and gain adjustment problems in a datalogger, and failure issues with a RTC oscillator.
