Connor Solutions has been awarded AS9100 certification, the quality management standard that meets the demanding requirements of the international aerospace industry. Following a five-day audit, the successful certification signifies that the companies facility in Houghton-le-Spring complies with all requirements of the AS9100 Quality Management System, which covers quality assurance throughout the whole manufacturing process including development, production and purchasing.
Quality Manager, Craig Bryant stated, ‘By achieving AS9100 approval, this demonstrates Connor Solutions continued commitment to meeting the needs and expectations of the defence and aerospace sectors and the range of safety critical and high technology markets associated with them. This is a great achievement and reflects not only the effectiveness of our Quality Management System but the dedication, enthusiasm and more importantly the skill of the whole team here at Connor Solutions.’
On learning the result of the audit, Dermot Guerin, Managing Director at Connor Solutions said, ‘Achieving AS9100 accreditation confirms that we clearly understand the needs of businesses operating within the aerospace and defence markets. The award of AS9100 accrediation coincides with the companies forthcoming attendance at the Defence Systems and Equipment International exhibition (DSEi 2009) in September at ExCel in London, which will provide an ideal platform for the company to step up their presence in the UK aerospace and defence markets. Connor Solutions will be exhibiting alongside the Northern Defence Industries on stand 1667.
