New commercial director set to drive growth

Tony Inskip has been appointed commercial director of electronic manufacturing services and power solutions provider, Stadium Group. Tony, joined Stadium following the acquisition of Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) provider Zirkon Limited in October 2008 where he was Sales and Marketing Director, playing a key role in the strategic direction of the business.

Tony continued his role at the Rugby based company and was appointed Sales Director for Stadiums UK Electronics business in May 2009.

Tony said: I will be responsible for commercial strategy of the Electronics business and drive growth both in existing and new markets. This is an exciting time to join the Board of Stadium Group plc and I am delighted with my appointment.

Tony brings 16 years experience in the EMS sector and a broad business knowledge gained from working in varied sales and marketing roles at several blue chip companies, including Furon, Leyland DAF, Clayton Dewandre (Wabco) as well as several automotive manufacturers.

Nigel Rogers, Chief Executive of Stadium Group, added: Following the acquisition of the second UK electronics operation and the consolidation of our sales and marketing operation under a single management structure, we have secured two significant new contracts for the business in the electronic transport signage and metering sectors and are also set to invest 250,000 at the Hartlepool plant before the end of the year which will increase production by 50%.

We are confident that Tonys skills, experience and network of industry contacts will provide a platform for further organic growth through to 2010 and beyond, and we wish him every success in his new role.

Stadium posted its half year results announcing profits before taxation and reorganisation costs in excess of 1m, despite a 3% dip in revenues of 22.34m. Stadium Group plc employs over 1000 worldwide and incorporates Stadium Electronics, Stadium Power and Stadium Asia.
