Digi-Key stocks dc/dc POL modules, LED modules

Thief River Falls, Minn. — Digi-Key Corp. has expanded its line card with two new product lines. The catalog distributor now stocks Novum point-of-load (POL) modules and a demonstration kit from CUI Inc., and Cree’s LED Module LMR4 with the company’s TrueWhite Technology, along with versions that feature Cree EasyWhite solutions.

Aimed at the emerging digital control market, the digital dc/dc POL module series and kit include Novum’s latest addition to the V-Infinity power line. The kits provide one 12-A demo board, one 25-A demo board, an USB interface adapter, a wall plug adapter, and access to the V-Infinity Intelligence Center GUI.

The line-up includes the following part numbers:

–NDM1-12-120 (Digi-Key #102-2140-ND) 12A
–NDM1-25-120 (Digi-Key #102-2141-ND) 25A
–NDM1-DEMO (Digi-Key #102-2142-ND) demo kit 12A/25A modules

The NDM1-DEMO is a demo kit for the Novum 12-A and 25-A digital dc/dc POL modules. The kit consists of one 12-A module demo board and one 25-A module demo board, which can be mated together so multiple rails can be tested simultaneously. Also included is a USB-to-I2C interface adapter allowing the demo boards to be operated from a computer via the V-Infinity Intelligence Center GUI.

The Cree LED Module LMR4 integrates driver electronics, optics, and primary thermal management, making the compact module drop-in ready. Designed to last 35,000 hours while consuming 12 watts of power, it delivers 700 lumens at a variety of color temperatures from 2700K to 4000K.

The 120-volt LMR4 is UL recognized, and the 230-volt LMR4 complies with multiple international standards. Fixture makers seeking Energy Star qualification will have access to specifications and performance data, including LM-80 reports, which can speed regulatory approvals, said Digi-Key.
