Simplify your supply chain with Fairchild configurable logic devices

San Jose, Calif. — Fairchild Semiconductor has developed the universal, multi-function configurable 74AUP family of TinyLogic devices for mobile and portable devices, aimed at simplifying supply and inventory management.

The ultra-low-power 74AUP family is comprised of configurable logic gates that enable multiple logic functions from a single two-input device. The 74AUP family can perform up to nine different logic functions (AND, NAND, OR, NOR, XOR, XNOR, MUX, inverter, and buffer), which enables design engineers to use one part for multiple functions, helping purchasing meet the need to reduce overall part count, said Fairchild.

The 74AUP family also addresses the design trend in mobile and portable devices for lower operating ranges by providing compatibility with lower operating range application and core processors. These devices are designed for a wide low voltage operating range of .8 V to 3.6 V with a drive capability of 4 mA, while still maintaining switching speeds of 15 ns, said Fairchild.

The 74AUP family ensures very low static and dynamic power consumption across the entire recommended voltage range. All inputs are implemented with hysteresis to allow for slower transition input signals and better switching noise immunity.

The family, housed in MicroPak and MicroPak2 packages, includes the 74AUP1G57, 74AUP1G58, 74AUP1G97, 74AUP1G98 two-input, low power, universal configurable logic gates with nine different configurable logic functions along with the 74AUP1T97, which also provides single supply voltage level translation.
