Baton Rouge, La. — Albemarle Corp. has increased prices of its SAYTEX CP-2000 (tetrabromo bisphenol A) flame retardant by $0.35/kg on all shipments or as contracts allow. Price hikes go into effect immediately.
Albemarle’s brominated flame retardants (BFRs) are part of the company’s fire safety solutions in the polymer solutions business segment. Saytex CP-2000 is used primarily in the manufacture of printed circuit boards. The price increase is in response to increased market demand, said Albemarle.
