ARCO stocks Bellnix FPGA POL converter

Mahwah, N.J. — ARCO Inc., a franchised distributor of memory, optoelectronic and other active and passive components, now stocks the BSV-nano FPGA POL converter from Bellnix America Inc., a subsidiary of Bellnix Co. Ltd. in Japan.

Bellnix, based in San Jose, Calif., developed the BSV-1.8S4R0NA POL converter to meet the high-speed, low-voltage, and high-current requirements of the latest FPGA designs. Key features include an ultra-high-speed response using a new control system that is different from traditional PWM architectures, and a small 11 x 11-mm form factor, which reduces PCB area by 50 percent and allows for positioning close to the FPGA.

In addition, the high-speed response performance of the BSV-1.8S4R0NA significantly reduces the need for large value decoupling capacitors to decrease circuit impedances, said ARCO.

Bellnix has partnerships with two of the industry’s largest FPGA manufacturers — Xilinx and Altera.
