San Jose, Calif. — GainSpan Corp., a developer of ultra-low-power embedded Wi-Fi solutions, and WPG Americas, Inc., have entered into a strategic distribution partnership whereby WPG Americas will sell GainSpan’s complete line of low-power Wi-Fi products in the Americas.
Under the agreement, WPG Americas will distribute, sell and service GainSpan’s ultra-low power Wi-Fi chips, modules, and evaluation kits, aimed at smart energy, health care and control and monitoring in industrial, commercial and residential markets
WPG Americas is GainSpan’s first distributor in the Americas. The partnership is expected to accelerate the company’s market share and opportunities for low-power embedded Wi-Fi driven by demand to connect to the Internet, smart phones and existing infrastructure.
