Chicago, Ill. — Newark/element14, a business of global Premier Farnell, is stocking Amphenol RF’s HD-BNC, its newest line of RF connectors, aimed at the broadcast industry. This high-density, small form factor HD-BNC enables design engineers to fit more connectors into a smaller space without compromising true 75-ohm performance, said the high-service distributor.
The HD-BNC series can be configured with a centerline spacing of 8 mm minimum, in comparison to the standard BNC at 15.5, which enables 400% density improvements and a 250% improvement over the standard 1.0/2.3 DIN. In addition to meeting the specifications of a BNC, the line meets or exceeds all SMPTE requirements.
