Phoenix, Ariz. — Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas now offers a free Supply Chain Central (SCC) application for iPhone users, enabling OEMs to manage their supply chain on the go. The SCC mobile app is currently available in English from iTunes and is compatible with the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. Search for the app using the keyword “Avnet.”
Application features include an option to view order status by purchase order number, sales control number, customer part number, manufacturer name, manufacturer part number, buyer name, ship date, required date, invoice number and carrier name. Users can also get order details and view tracking information from FedEx or UPS.
“We set out to create a purchasing desktop application that would mimic that of the current Avnet Supply Chain Central site and give customers with supply chain engagements the opportunity to interact with SCC on the go,” stated Chuck Delph, senior vice president of sales, Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas. “This application is a great example of how Avnet continues to meet the evolving purchasing needs of our customers.”
Customers must have an Avnet user ID and password to access their account, which can be set up through AvnetExpress.com.
