Tough and versatile, Spelsberg’s new IP55 enclosures are now available in grey, red, green and black to match or stand out from the surrounding environment. The multi-coloured i12 series is part of Spelsberg’s entry level, quick fit Red Range, designed to offer simple installation with self-sealing cable entries. Each pack is supplied with a free punch and extra knockouts on the back of the enclosure, which can be opened manually to increase the number of cable entries available. Enclosures also feature external lugs for easy fixing using cable ties or screws.
All enclosures are made of a tough, halogen-free thermo-plastic, making them suitable for installation in exposed areas. Having passed both the UL 94 V2 flammability and 960degreeC glow wire tests, the halogen-free enclosures will not produce harmful gasses when exposed to fire, which means they are also ideal for public spaces.
A tight sealing lid offers ingress protection to IP55. The new click-top system provides protection from low-pressure jets from all directions and guards against dust and other solid objects, making the enclosures suitable for use in the food industry and outdoor applications.
The enclosures lid incorporates an A box facia design, displaying both VDE approval and IP rating, with a textured panel for labelling.
All enclosures are available empty, or with a range of accessories supplied or ready fitted. Enclosures can also be supplied with bespoke entries, engraved logos or fitted terminals within 48 hours. Ex-stock units can be delivered next day nationwide.
