Dek chairman, John Knowles, has received an honorary doctor of business administration award from Bournemouth University, in recognition of his achievements at Dek and his work with the educational institution. The doctorate honoured Johns contribution to Bournemouth University over his decade as deputy chairman on the University board. Having retired from this post last year, John retains close links with the establishment. With his official role at the University at an end, John continues to develop Deks status as a mass imaging specialist and its role in the photovoltaic marketplace.
Accepting the award, John commented: I accept this honour on behalf of Dek employees and in recognition of the small part Ive played in the success of the company – success made possible by a team that accepts change as a matter of routine and has a ‘just-do’ attitude.
