Rutronik and semiconductor manufacturer, ZMDI, have extended their pan-European franchise agreement for standard analogue products to include ZMDI’s entire product range. Besides a joint sales strategy, the existing partnership between Rutronik and ZMDI also includes a close cooperation when it comes to defining the products. As a result, ZMDI is able to develop products that are specially tailored to the requirements of distribution customers. At the beginning of the year, a joint team of experts from the manufacturer and the distributor already developed the SARah ADC. A second converter, also based on the analysis of Rutronik’s market survey, will probably be introduced in 2009/2010.
Apart from the jointly developed SARah analogue digital converters, which are distributed exclusively by Rutronik, the business relationship will include in future, among others, ASI and LIN bus ICs, sensor signal conditioners, sensor interfaces, temperature ICs, WPAN and Zigbee ICs as well as SRAMs. With these products the partners will primarily be addressing the markets for automotive electronics, diagnostic medical equipment, industrial automation technology and consumer applications.
