Cambridge Connectors has introduced its 75ohm BNC connector with a PCB edge mount configuration said to meet demand for higher bandwidth in high definition TV (HDTV) applications. The edge mount format is said to provide a straight signal path along the connector, through the point of interface and onto the PCB track with minimal transmission losses. The result is a maximum VSWR of 1.09 over a frequency range of zero to 1.5GHz and working voltage of 500Vrms. Additional benefits include a lower profile facilitating the high wiring densities required by broadcast equipment and complete RoHS compliance.
Patch leads in standard lengths or built to customer specification are available along with a 75ohm optimised PCB layout guide.
