Camden aquires Boss

Camden Electronics has acquired Boss Enclosures, the Suffolk-based manufacturer and distributor of plastic and metal enclosures, 19in racks and cabinets. Camdens owner, Nicola Kay, commented, We are very excited with the acquisition of Boss Enclosures as it adds a huge range of high quality enclosure products to complement our existing range of DIN rail housings and offers synergy for customers of both companies with enormous opportunities to access a wide range of related interconnection products from the Camden range and new enclosure solutions from the Boss portfolio.

In what are uniquely difficult times for the technology sector, we believe this acquisition makes perfect sense as it will enable Boss Enclosures to access Camdens well-established worldwide distribution network, Kay continued. Camden-Boss will be able to deliver a wide range of high value-added solutions for electrical, electronics and telecommunications designers with a comprehensive range of products encompassing standard and custom designed enclosures from potting boxes to the latest Acoustirack 19in cabinets for noiseless server operations.

Carsten Pistor, Boss Enclosures former CEO, commented, We are delighted to join Camdens organisation and look forward to developing both our product and customer base jointly going forward. Whilst the Camden and BOSS product ranges are entirely complementary, the companies have been operating in virtually the same market sectors for many years, thus providing a vast amount of synergies that can be exploited. A further key motivator behind the deal is Camdens long-term strategy which is entirely in line with ours.
