Manufacturer of advanced computer keyboards, Cherry Electrical has appointed Devlin Electronics as a customisation partner. This means that customers can specify customised layouts and graphics. For customers operating in the retail sector, for example, this means that special function keys for handling refunds or voucher purchases can feature their own icon. Cherry keyboards are user-programmable and Devlin can also undertake any requests for firmware or software programming.
Marketing co-ordinator at Devlin, Robert Watson, explained: We have invested in tooling so that we can produce customised keytops that fit the Cherry keyswitches, especially on the SPOS retail keyboard range. This means that system builders can have exactly the layout and graphical look they want. Keys can be coloured, laser etched or engraved to suit the design.
