RS Components is showcasing new microcontrollers and development kits from Microchip and TI at the Embedded Systems Conference and Exhibition, having recently launched over 1,100 new devices from Microchip and over 8,000 new products from TI. The increased offer means RS now features over 11,000 TI products and has the most up-to-date range of Microchip microcontrollers and development kits available to design engineers. Products from both these leading manufacturers are available online from RS direct-from-stock across Europe.
New introductions from Microchip include the companys PIC Microcontroller nanoWatt XLP family, offering new industry benchmarks for the lowest sleep current consumption. XLP technology provides design engineers with a rich and compatible low-power migration path that includes on-chip peripherals for USB and mTouch.
Features of the PIC MCUs with nanoWatt XLP technology include sleep currents down to 20nA, real-time clock currents down to 500nA and watchdog timer currents down to 400nA, making the range ideal for any battery-powered or power-constrained application. Microchip has integrated all three features into its 8-bit and 16-bit XLP series, providing more freedom for designers who need products to operate longer while using less battery power.
Supporting PIC MCUs with nanoWatt XLP technology are three new PIMS (Plug in Modules) that fit into Microchips existing 8-bit / 16-bit Explorer Boards. RS has also significantly increased its range of Microchip development kits and accessories available direct-from-stock to support design engineers in their development of PIC MCU based solutions.
Electronics design engineers can also select from a comprehensive TI portfolio, including over 2,000 new logic ICs, 1,800 amplifier and linear devices, 1,500 power management components, and more than 1,000 new interface and connectivity devices. Whether its faster speed, higher precision, lower power or smaller size, RS offers the best choice of TI solutions to engineers aiming to differentiate their design.
Experts from RS Electronics team will be available on the stand to talk visitors through the products and answer any questions.
