BVM has introduced a video and audio capture Mini-PCI card designed for any system where digital storage of high quality video and audio is required. The MP-840 supports the H.264 MPEG-4 video compression standard, digitally encoding four channels at 120fps with full D1 resolution. Applications include professional A/V studio pre and post production and data storage in CCTV security systems.
The card includes four high quality NTSC/PAL video decoders that convert analogue composites video signals to digital data, four 10-bit ADCs and four 2D and 3D comb filters for separating luminance and chrominance to reduce cross noise artifacts. The MP-840 also includes four audio Analogue-to-Digital converters and 4 channels of adaptive differential pulse code modulation (ADPCM) audio encode to reduce bandwidth requirements.
Also available is an application development suite, optimised for system integration with a comprehensive set of functions that eases integration into DVR system software and accelerates time-to-market. The functions include H.264 baseline profile, live mode D1 display, H.264 recording at 120fps, quality control, frame rate control, VBR, CBR and Hybrid-VBR support, watermark function, de-interlace, video loss check, bitmap OSD, motion detection, network streaming and direct draw display mode.
