A new distribution centre has been opened by Nu Horizons Electronics in Coventry, UK. The site, which is more than six times the size of its previous facility, will provide the additional stocking capability required to support the company’s expanded European presence. The centre will fulfil orders from all Nu Horizons’ Eastern European offices, including two new bases in Eastern Europe covering Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary and Romania and its offices in the UK and Germany. Orders from the Nordic region will continue to ship from the companys subsidiary C-88 AS, based in Denmark.
Operations manager EMEA, Nu Horizons, Dave Aberg, said: Recent expansion in Europe placed continued demands on our local logistics network. The larger facility in Coventry contains double the number of picking stations and is temperature and humidity controlled. We have also expanded our logistics staff to meet growing demand and hope to ensure that our European customers remain well-supported.
