Digi-Key has increased the number of tact switches, toggle, rocker and pushbutton switches it stocks from C&K Components, bringing its current total to more than 2,300 C&K products, with approximately 2,000 additional products available as determined by manufacturers lead-time. Distributor, Digi-Key, claims to stock the industrys largest number of C&K SKUs, as well as being the exclusive stockist of C&K’s new family of switches for severe operating conditions and heavy-duty applications, including industrial controls, farm machinery and off-road vehicles.
Series in this family include ESM and DSM single and double switch modules, which are protected by silicon rubber caps and sealed to IP 65 when mounted. RS and QS series are designed for use in front panels, providing tactile feedback and positive snap-point actions and SR3 series rocker switches and AR3 and AR5 series analogue rocker switches, all of which are suitable for off-road vehicles.
The two companies have collaborated to produce two product training modules. The sub-miniature snap switches module discusses the ZM and LC families, compares switches within the families, and highlights applications, while the ELUM illuminated pushbuttons module discusses physical and electrical options and applications for these switches.
