Responding to demand for high power, conduction-cooled power supplies, Powersolve has introduced the PSL400BP series of baseplate cooled AC/DC units with single outputs of five, 12, 24 or 48V DC and output power up to 400W. The input range is 85 to 264V AC, 47 to 63Hz and all models feature active power factor correction in accordance with EN61000-3-2.
Housed in an extruded aluminium chassis, these ruggedised power supplies are designed for use in industrial type applications where cooling fans are undesirable and convection airflow is not available. Units can be mounted in a sealed box providing that the external heat sink is adequate to maintain the baseplate at a temperature of 80C or below.
The PCB is conformally coated for protection against the ingress of moisture and dirt and operating temperature range is -20 to 70C, providing the baseplate temperature can be maintained.
Standard features include over current and short circuit protection, over voltage and over temperature protection, output voltage adjust and remote on/off.
