Quality standards have received a boost at printed circuit board manufacturer, Artetch Circuits, when production supervisor, Glenn Wallington, received his six sigma green belt. Glenn and eight of his colleagues received certificates after completing a training course run by TEC Concepts, with Glenn receiving the additional award in recognition of the work he and his project team undertook to investigate and improve manufacturing processes.
Managing director, Martin Morrell, commented: We originally got involved when we were invited by one of our key customers to join the supply chain group, which works to improve quality and on-time delivery in the electronics industry. Six sigma training focuses on cooperation between customer and supplier to make improvements in the process of product supply. The work done within Artetch will have a lasting effect on our business.
