Investing in customer care

Winsford-based CC Electronics Europe (CCEE), has promoted technical sales manager, Tom Parker, to customer technical and quality manager. As the PCB manufacturer expands, Toms promotion demonstrates its commitment to customer service.

Tom said: There is now a much greater need for customers to be more informed and to have a greater understanding of what they are buying before they make their purchasing decisions. The advent of the lead free question when looking at soldering and final finishes has created additional important issues when we are selling to both existing and prospective customers alike.

There is now a far greater interest in the properties of the materials used in manufacturing PCBs. For example, control impedance along with the temperature to destination issue when looking at the high quality multi-layer build of a board have become increasingly topical. However, they are just a couple of key areas where customers may need a degree of education before making an informed buying decision.

CCEE sales director, Wendy Heyes, commented: Tom is already a popular and proven member of our team but in addition to having the ability to develop excellent relationships with his clients, he is also without peer in the sector when it comes to industry knowledge. His awareness of the various technological changes and the way they influence product development is phenomenal.

Prior to CCEE, Tom worked for DDI Tewksbury, ICL and Morton International, a worldwide supplier PCB chemicals.
