Acal Technology has introduced a series of 7.5mm mini HVL lighting connectors from Tyco Electronics, designed to facilitate last-minute layout changes and office reorganisation.
The IEC 60320 compliant devices can be installed in small fixtures and into furniture, ceilings, walls and floors. A wire-to-wire configuration is available, offering outlet and plug assemblies with two contact positions and using MQS contacts to provide a six-way distributor with additional switch feature.
Applications include two-pole appliance wiring for household and similar purposes, from low voltage up to 250V.
Several versions are available with a ring clip for wire retention in accordance with IEC60320 pull tests. The six-way distributor allows one stroke insulation displacement (IDC) termination using pre assembled contacts and a switch version is available using an additional seventh way with a coded red plug for external switch input. The low profile RoHS-compliant connector features tape and reel packaging for SMT assembly.
