A merger between Vitelec Electronics and Midwest Microwave International has enhanced the RF connector and cable assembly services offered by Emerson Connectivity Solutions. The developments improve capability, product offering and logistics support for customers in the UK and Europe. Operating on a larger scale than before, Midwest/Vitelec will offer an enhanced on-site testing facility and a larger technical department, with a greater design-in capability for both standard and customised RF connectors and cable assemblies, all supported by manufacturing and assembly facilities. Customers will also benefit from a new, dedicated logistics team, introduced to improve the efficiency of its distribution channel. The combined company’s stock holding capacity has also increased to improve the processing of large-scale orders.
Sales and marketing director of the merged company, Peter Walmsley, explained: Relocating to a new facility has enabled us to extend our in-house capability with enhanced technical and logistics operations for improved customer support at every level.
