The SC189 Synchronous Step Down Regulator and SC644 Light Management Unit from Semtech are now available in the UK through APC-Hero. The SC189 offers a complete step-down regulator solution through the three external filters enabling 1.5A output current within an ultra-small 2mm x 2mm, low profile package. For use in applications such as Bluetooth radios, DSC and PMPs, GPS devices, xDSL systems, POL regulators, portable HDD and wireless LAN the SC189 features a VIN range of 2.9 – 5.5V, VOUT options of
1.0 – 3.3V, 2.5MHz switching frequency, efficiency up to 93%, low output noise and an excellent transient response.
Also available is the SC644, a high efficiency charge pump LED driver using Semtech’s proprietary charge pump technology. Performance is optimised for use in single cell Li-ion battery applications such as mobile and smart phones, PDAs, LCD display modules, portable media players, digital cameras, GPS units and display backlighting and LED indicators. The SC644 provides an
input supply voltage of 2.9 – 5.5V, a three charge pump driver system, six programmable current sinks and one programmable 100mA and three programmable 150 mA low noise LDO regulators.
