On-line sales are on the up

Internet purchasing is an increasingly important tool, according to RS Components Electronics and Electromechanical (EEM) division, which made 50.3 per cent of all sales on-line this June. Not only does this demonstrate the purchasers desire to access tens of thousands of products at the click of a button, it also reflects the attention RS has lavished on its website. The company continues to add to its range of EEM products available only on-line and has also added a production packaging service. This allows customers to view the packaging format, set the quantity required, check live stock levels and place orders on-line.

Marketing manager e-commerce at RS, Nik Patel, said: By listening to our customers and investing in our website, we have made ordering and information sourcing as simple as possible. Reaching this milestone is testimony to the importance of the website as a business channel to our customers.
