Rutronik is now offering Omron’s extended family of energy-efficient DC power relays. The new G9EC can carry and switch loads up to 400V, 200A and the new G9EB is claimed to be smallest and lightest relay in its class.
The G9ECs switching and driving section are hermetically sealed and gas injected, providing the capacity to interrupt a maximum of 1000A at 400V DC. The sealed construction means that no space is required to accommodate arcing. It also saves space and helps to ensure safe applications. Dimensions are 98 by 44 by 86.7mm and mounting direction is unrestricted, thanks to the optimised physical design. Screw-terminal and lead-wire coil terminal versions are available and a terminal cover can be supplied for industrial applications.
G9EB 400V DC, 25A relays measure 25 by 60 by 58mm and weigh around 135g. By using resin with a metal case, the G9EB achieves a gas-filled, fully sealed ceramic construction without the need for special processing and materials.
Temperature operation spans: -40 to 50C for the G9EC and up to 70C for the G9EB.
