Lane Electronics has announced a range of plastic bodied connectors designed to suit a variety of applications where space is at a premium. Manufactured by Weald Electronics, the SM/SMA Series are available with 1, 2 or 3 ways and rated at 3, 7 and 12A with a peak working voltage of 500V, DC or AC. The plastic mouldings give the range high arc resistance and high dielectric and mechanical strength while the spring-tempered, phosphor bronze contacts are gold plated for low contact resistance, easy soldering and proof against corrosion.
Either plug or socket can be mounted to chassis or bulkhead and there is a choice of six coloured discs for identification purposes. The connector hoods are equally suitable for plugs or sockets and can be supplied in black or blue.
