ASIC solutions from ChipX are now supported by global fulfilment and distribution services supplied by Nu Horizons, following a distribution agreement between the two companies.
This will give enhanced access to ChipX engineering services, including complete back-end ASIC design from RTL to prototypes, mixed signal and analogue intellectual property (IP) integration, migration from structured ASIC to standard cell, replacement of end-of-life (EOL) FPGAs and ASICs and a shuttle service for prototyping. Services are complemented by a manufacturing operation with a 97 per cent record of on-time delivery and a three-week lead time from GDS2 to prototypes on many structured ASIC products. Furthermore, ChipX aims to offer long life cycle support, currently manufacturing some devices that were sampled more than ten years ago.
Senior vice president of marketing at Nu Horizons, Rita Megling, said: ChipX has established an outstanding record of first-time working silicon and we are excited about this opportunity to offer more value to our customers through their portfolio or products and services.
