Omron has further miniaturised its FPC connector portfolio with the introduction of a new ultra-low profile, 0.5mm thick design, plus a reduced footprint based on the smallest ever front-back depth. The XF2U is 3.5mm front-to-back, 0.5mm pitch device, occupying just two-thirds of the board area used by a comparable XF2M connector, based on the 24-way style. The connector accepts standard 0.2mm thick FPC and features Omrons patented rotary backlock mechanism to reduce the assembly steps. The connector features a 0.9mm profile and double-sided contacts.
