A wrist strap enclosure has been added to OKW’s Minitec range of miniature housings. The cases are designed for small electronic devices such as personal security devices, exposure detection units, emergency call buttons, medical devices and remote control units.
Two standard sizes are available: 52 by 32 by 15mm and 68 by 43 by 18mm. Each case consists of a top and bottom part, with a soft intermediate ring. The top and base parts are moulded in off-white or lava grey ABS, or black infra-red transparent PMMA (UL 94 HB). Four standard colours are available for the soft touch TPE rings: volcano grey, orange, lime green and bright blue. The 280mm long wrist strap is made from elastic nylon, secured with Velcro.
Cases are offered with a recess for a membrane keypad or product label, or a smooth top part for rubber keypads. Location bosses in the base accommodate PCBs and components and the cases are assembled using a single self-tapping screw. Prices start at under 4.
