International Rectifier has expanded its portfolio of rugged, reliable 600V trench insulated gate bipolar transistors (IGBTs) with two new devices for uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), solar, industrial motor and welding applications.
Devices utilise trench thin wafer technology to offer low conduction and switching losses. They are also are optimised for ultra-fast switching of eight to 30kHz with 5µs short circuit rating. Suitable for a range of switching frequencies, thanks to their low Vce(on) and switching losses, devices also boast high system efficiency and rugged transient performance for increased reliability. Other key features include maximum junction temperature of 175°C and low EMI.
