Suitable for consumer or industrial automation use, Suyin’s 020200MA005XX56XX series offers a type-B, five-pin mini USB receptacle for surface mounting.
Measuring 7.50 by 4.20mm, the new USB receptacle features an in-board design. This means it is mounted in an offset manner on the PCB, reducing its height above the PCB to 5.25mm. The device also boasts outstanding mechanical toughness, even when subjected to high insertion and removal forces. Besides the five upright SMT contacts, two supplementary SMT soldering tabs and two side-mounted plastic guide pins, an additional THT bifurcated contact ensures reliable anchoring on the PCB. The number of mating cycles is specified at 5,000.
Other specifications include a contact current capacity of 30V DC /1.0A per pin, a contact resistance of 50mOhm, insulation resistance of 100MOhm and an operating temperature range of -40 to 105°C.
Production volumes begin at 80,000 pieces per year and Suyin can support product ramp-up by supplying smaller amounts. Depending on the order volume and delivery times, customer-specification adaptations can be made.
