Now available in the UK from Aerco, Winchester Electronics’ PowerSnap high power connectors are rated up to 40A with snap connection for secure mating.
The snap action means that, unlike conventional slide-on connectors with this power capacity, they require no additional tools to tighten nuts or fixings. This is increasingly import as boards become more heavily populated and power requirements increase.
Suitable for board-to-board and wire-to-board applications, PCB designs include vertical plugs and jacks available in through-hole solder or SMT, while wire terminal designs include right angle or straight format in 20, 30 or 40A with a range of wire sizes.
