CamdenBoss has launched two new series of wire-to-board connectors designed to provide reliable connections at low cost. Both the Minipower and Micropower connectors offer single and double row connectors up to 24-poles with fully insulated housings. Polarised to avoid inverted connection, receptacle housings feature a friction lock for positive mating and male headers with locking ears for panel mount applications.
Applications include consumer appliances, medical equipment, computer peripherals, robotics, vending machines, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), power supplies, lighting and security.
Minipower connectors are 4.2mm pitch and are rated for applications up to 9A. The connectors comprise male and female crimp terminals fitted into their respective housings to create wire-to-wire connections. Wire-to-board connections can be achieved using PCB mounting headers and female housings with crimp terminals. Straight and right-angle headers are available.
Micropower is a smaller footprint system on a 3.0mm pitch, rated for currents up to 5A. Micropower connectors also have a surface mount header option for integrated applications.
