Murata showcases innovation in consumer electronics at CeBIT 2012

Hall 5, Stand D50 – CeBIT 2012, 6 – 10th March 2012

Murata has announced their participation at CeBIT 2012, Hannover Messe, Germany, 6 – 10th March 2012 with stand demonstrations showcasing Murata innovations in everyday consumer electronics, healthcare technologies and energy efficiency.

Taking centre-stage is Murata’s capacitive-coupled wireless charging device that shows how consumer devices such as smartphones, tablets and laptops can be charged without the need for cables. The demonstration will show how easily this flexible charging approach can be designed-in to consumer electronics.

With consumer healthcare applications in mind, the vital signs sensor demonstration will show how heart rate and other vital life signs can be incorporated into a range of consumer electronics, and in particular, the growing market for personal sports performance and fitness equipment.

Other demonstrations will show a miniature piezo-based blower/pump aimed at consumer air freshener, gas detection and healthcare applications, a leaf grip remote controller application example using a touch pressure pad, and wireless connectivity modules enabling Smart Energy, Home Automation, Industrial Control and Healthcare.

Those interested in audio applications will be able to see and hear audio coming from the demonstration of a completely flexible speaker.

Also on display will be Murata’s MAGICSTRAP® RFID product family. Practical uses of this technology across the whole electronics value chain will be demonstrated together with system integration partners. Actual electronic products already incorporating this UHF RFID technology will be used in the demonstrations.
