Harvard launches Custom LED Design and Placement service

Queen’s Award winner in the innovation category, Harvard Engineering, is pleased to announce the expansion of its successful Custom LED Design and Placement service. Established for nearly twenty years, Harvard has extensive knowledge in lighting and engineering, both essential in the delivery of bespoke LED lighting solutions.

The service was originally launched in 2010 and has proved to be so successful with customers that the company has invested in new technology and equipment to meet the growing demand.

Recent expansion to a purpose built advanced manufacturing facility in the UK ensures Harvard can provide reliable, high volume LED placement by combining the most advanced automated manufacturing processes, which also include fully automated surface mount machinery and thermal testing equipment.

As part of service, the company’s highly skilled engineering team of LED specialists will work closely with customers to deliver a bespoke PCB layout and design service. Every project will have a dedicated engineering development manager, who will be intrinsically involved from the start of each project through its completion.

Michael McDonnell, sales and marketing director at Harvard Engineering, commented, “It is an exciting time for the company. We have always had the in-house capabilities to provide this customised service, but we have never really actively marketed it. We have now put together an experienced team specifically focused on identifying opportunities, delivering solutions and meeting customer requirements. And with over 18 years electronics manufacturing and lighting experience, we are well placed to deliver cost efficient innovative tailored solutions.”
