Rugged COTS – High Performance SBCs, Video/Graphics, Ethernet switches and Flexible Compact Computer Systems
Aitech is pleased to announce that it will be demonstrating its very latest ruggedised and compact COTS Single Board Computers (SBCs), graphics boards, Gbit Ethernet switches and highly flexible computer systems for harsh, environmentally-demanding defence and aerospace applications at Avionics Europe, Munich, 21-22 March.

New C802 and C162 Rugged Single Board Computers
Both of these advanced and newly released Aitech products are high performance Intel® Core i7 based Single Board Computers for embedded and harsh environment applications. The C802 is 3U CompactPCI and the C162 is 6U VME.
M595 XMC and M597 PMC Advanced Graphics Boards
These highly versatile and rugged embedded graphics and video boards are best-in-class, provide advanced specifications and deliver exceptionally high performance with a broad range of video I/O options. They are ideally suited to a wide variety of rugged avionics applications.
Both boards utilise the high performance AMD/ATI E4690 Graphics Processing Unit (GPU), which delivers multiple video outputs from its native video ports. In addition, a sophisticated FPGA sits alongside the E4690 to support a wide variety of additional video output formats and video overlay features, video input formats and signal conditioning options.
Flexible Compact Computer Systems – off the shelf from Aitech
A190 RediBuilt Compact Computer System is a true rugged COTS computer. Assembled, tested, and qualified, RediBuilt provides an out-of-the-box solution to meet many of today’s military and airborne computing requirements. Designed using proven Aitech technology, RediBuilt is a fully integrated product, requiring neither NRE nor any additional development.
A171 RCP (Rugged Compact PC) delivers all the features of a standard PC in a rugged compact enclosure. Utilising a high performance 2.0 GHz Core i7 processor, up to 16 GB solid-state on-board storage and a wide range of PC industry standard I/O including timing and temperature sensing, this advanced system brings the standard PC operating environment to harsh working environments.
A175 I/O Expansion Sub-system is a compact and lightweight (<1.2 kg) single board design that significantly expands an avionics computer’s I/O capabilities by adding a large variety of I/O interface options accessible via a MIL-STD-1553B link.
Delivering high performance with very low power consumption, both the A171 and A175 advanced computer products are environmentally sealed in rugged, compact and lightweight, Faraday cage enclosures. They are passive-air cooled, highly reliable and designed for use under extreme environmental conditions.
