Leading contract electronics manufacturer, Axiom Manufacturing Services, has appointed Paul Murphy as commercial director to support its ambitious growth plans.
Mr Murphy has most recently served as VP of international sales and UK general manager at CTS Electronics Manufacturing Systems. He joins Axiom with over 24 years of EMS experience and a broad business knowledge gained from working in varied sales & marketing, procurement and operations roles within companies such as, Solectron Corporation.
Commenting on the appointment David Davies, managing director of Axiom stated: “We are delighted to have an individual of Paul’s caliber and experience as part of our executive team, a group made up of individuals with a vision to develop a real common culture at Axiom that distils excellence at every level of the business. With his 24 years in EMS, an excellent understanding of our customers and markets, as well a sound strategic vision for growth, I’m sure he’ll bring a different dimension to Axiom.”
Despite a tough economic climate, Axiom has bucked the industry trend with the creation of jobs; its headcount grew from 155 in 2010 to around 200 in 2011. The company also boosted its turnover by 18% in 2011.
