Interfaces with M12 connectors in industrial networks have to be protected against EMI/RFI noise and against the entrance of water and dust. As part of its comprehensive I-Net M12 portfolio Provertha offers related protection caps for M12 interfaces. The I-Net M12 products ensure the reliable and robust data transfer with high functional safety in PROFIBUS, CAN-Bus and Industrial Ethernet (PROFINET, ETHERNET/IP) networks.
The M12 protection caps offer a reliable protection against electromagnetic distortion. In addition the interfaces are protected against dust and water according to safe degree IP67 (screw-locked).
Provertha offers the new protection caps in versions for male and female M12 interfaces. The full-metal housing with nickel plating provides high noise immunity. The thread (M12 x1) with hexagon shape and SW13 is built for a defined locking torque with torque wrench. The recommended torque is specified with 0.8 to 1 Nm (maximum 2 Nm).
