On May 1, 2012, SCHURTER launched its completely redesigned e-shop and in doing so gives its customers around the world the new ability to place orders fast, securely, simply and anonymously.
With its new e-shop, SCHURTER aims first of all to support engineers during the design-in process. This will make it convenient for them to order evaluation samples easily and anonymously. The e-shop is thus not intended primarily as a sales channel but rather as a service oriented to customer requirements.
With this approach, once a transaction is complete, SCHURTER will not use the data necessary for orders and shipments for any other purposes. For customers, this anonymous ordering process means: no calls from the sales force, no e-mails and no additional use or forwarding of personal information. In addition, 128-bit encryption makes electronic payment absolutely secure.
The e-shop stands out further because of its intuitive menu guidance. As opposed to standard practice, navigation is done outside the e-shop through the items offered for sale on the SCHURTER website. Once a customer has selected a product, he is forwarded to the e-shop where he himself checks, in real time, if sufficient quantities of the items are in stock. If articles are available, it is possible to place an order in the e-shop without any delay. In this way, recently introduced products in particular are available immediately after their launch.
In total, more than 15,000 items are in stock at both the Swiss and US hubs. SCHURTER ships all orders from these locations within 24 hours. With the Express shipment option, the goods are in customers’ hands within two to three business days, and with the Standard option in four to seven days. Thanks to tracking numbers issued by our shipping partners TNT, UPS and FedEx, recipients always know where their shipments are at any time.
SCHURTER’s e-shop offers a fast, customer-friendly way to place an order – and this around the clock. Alternatively, interested parties have at their disposal a contact form that is likewise tied into the e-shop; this is useful if a desired item is not available or cannot be ordered, when customer-specific requirements are involved or the customer would like to get advice.
