Vincotech rolls out a full line of power modules with silicon carbide switches

A complete range of power modules with various SiC switches for high-performance, three-phase solar inverters

Vincotech, a supplier of module-based solutions for power electronics, has launched a complete range of standard power modules for high-performance solar inverters. Packaged in a flow 0 housing measuring just 12 mm in height, these remarkably efficient MNPC and dual booster modules come with exceedingly fast SiC switches from four manufacturers.

Customers can now choose from a wide selection of power modules equipped with four of brands of silicon carbide switches. This new line encompasses:

Mixed-voltage Neutral Point Clamped (MNPC) modules equipped with

  • SemiSouth SiC Normally Off JFETs
  • Infineon Technologies and SemiSouth SiC Normally On JFETs in cascode configuration
  • Cree and ROHM SiC MOSFETs

Dual Booster modules equipped with

  • SemiSouth SiC Normally Off JFET’s
  • Cree and ROHM SiC MOSFETs

Engineered for highly efficient, three-phase solar inverters ranging up to 30kW, these new products feature a 1200V dual booster input stage and a 1200V MNPC inverter. They also provide exceedingly fast switching without tail current. The onboard, high-frequency DC link capacitors enhance fast-switching, low-inductive designs and help minimize voltage overshoots. The MNPC topology has been implemented with split outputs to achieve utmost efficiency and immunity to shoot-through, cross-conduction current.

Samples of both ranges may be ordered via standard sales channels. To learn more about Vincotech’s power module products, please visit:
