The Electronic Components Industry Association (ECIA) is pleased to announce an upcoming webinar collaboration with ECN. This latest effort to educate the industry on developments in the fight against counterfeit electronic components is a free event, although you must register to participate.
Chris Warner, Executive Editor of ECN will moderate and Robin B Gray, Jr., ECIA’s President will provide a presentation on the latest government and industry developments in the battle to reign in counterfeit product usage. They will be joined by panelists Andrew Olney, Analog Devices, and Daryl Hatano, ON Semiconductor, to discuss evolving regulations handed down by the Defense Department, how those regulations will impact contractors and subcontractors, and the emerging standards to avoid counterfeits in the aerospace and automotive industries.
“This is a key issue for the industry,” said Gray. “ECIA has taken an active role in this fight for many years through an advocacy marketing campaign to identify “authorized sources” for electronic product. Thanks in part to those efforts, the government now recognizes that important distinction.”
Join the webinar and discussion on June 12th and learn more about the potential impact of these government directives.
ECN has a 50-year legacy and is the electronic design community’s premier source for product information, news, and sharp editorial.
