For most engineers, meeting stringent regulatory requirements for software validation can be a downright demanding process. To help save valuable time and money, Jim Carver, technical director of advanced architectures for Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas, a business region of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), will present helpful time- and cost-saving measures at the Freescale Technology Forum (FTF) Americas.

The FTF will be held this year in San Antonio, Texas, June 18–21. Carver’s presentation will demonstrate how utilizing the advanced debug features of the Freescale Kinetis family of microcontrollers can accelerate the software validation process. His talk, “Software Validation in Medical and Safety Critical Systems,” takes place on Tuesday, June 19 at 4:15 p.m. in the Grand Oaks Ballroom.

“As system complexity has increased, the task of software validation has grown exponentially,” said Carver. “This can create barriers to getting product to market and increase product development costs. This class will help engineers understand how to use the advanced debug features in the Kinetis family of microcontrollers to accelerate the software validation process.”
