Marine Electronics Industry leaders team up ahead of international product launch
Actisense, the market leading marine electronics brand from Active Research Limited, based in Poole, UK, have recently teamed up with Marine Electronics giant, Raymarine, to launch their NGW-1-STNG, a SeaTalkng Gateway.
Speaking from their Poole, Dorset Headquarters, Managing Director of Actisense, Phil Whitehurst, explained the synergy: “We are delighted to partner with Raymarine, a global leader in marine electronics. Our combined vision for the SeaTalk Gateway (NGW-1-STNG) is to be the number one device for data handling, conversion and reporting for NMEA systems and we have spent a significant amount of time and resource in developing this very user-centric product.”
The Actisense® NMEA 2000 to NMEA 0183 Gateway is the easiest way to link between a boat’s old and new data networks. The NGW-1 can convert NMEA 0183 data into NMEA 2000 data and vice-versa.
Stuart Heptonstall, a Senior Global Product Manager at Raymarine, said: “This has proven to be a mutually beneficial working relationship. We identified Actisense as an expert in the field of NMEA connectivity. The NGW-1-STNG allows seamless data transfer between external NMEA0183 devices and SeaTalkng which is exactly what we were looking for and Actisense performed to the brief admirably. We look forward to an ongoing relationship with Actisense.”
The NGW-1-STNG is available for sale via Actisense’s worldwide distributors.
