Leading hybrid distributor of electronic components, Rebound Electronics, has been recognised in the Sunday Times Profit Track 100 list for the third year in a row. This accolade recognises UK private firms with the fastest growing profits, with Rebound coming 43rd in the top 100.
Fast Track is the UK’s leading networking events and research company that focuses on top-performing private companies, and publishes league tables ranking them in The Sunday Times. Its awards programmes identify the most successful companies, from the fastest growing to the largest.
Stephen Griffiths, Rebound’s Chief Finance Officer, received the award on behalf of Rebound at a high profile awards ceremony held at the Savoy Hotel, London on 19 June 2012. Guest speakers at the event were Niklas Zennström, co-founder of Skype and last year’s winner, James Lambert, co-founder and Chairman of R & R Ice Cream.
Based on historical data, Rebound achieved the 43rd spot having reported a growth of 69% per year from 2007 to 2010. The company is also excited about the prospects next year as, during the last 12 months, Rebound sold 1.1 billion electronic components (semiconductors and passive components etc.) to customers in markets as diverse as automotive, telecommunications, consumer electronics, medical and the military. Simon Thake, Chief Executive Officer at Rebound Electronics, explained why Rebound has been so successful:
“I am delighted that Rebound has been recognised once again. We work hard in all the territories we operate in and we are lucky to have such a focused and dynamic team. This asset, combined with acquisitions and investments in Britain, Germany, Switzerland and America has helped lead to new as well as repeat custom and continued to drive this great company forward”.
